FIRE RESTRICTION IN EFFECT
Effective April 25, 2025 at 3:00 PM, a Fire Restriction is in effect for all rural areas in the County of Minburn including hamlets.
The Village of Innisfree is a partner with the County of Minburn for Fire Protection Services. This Fire Restriction is in effect for the Village of Innisfree community as well.
This Fire Restriction:
- PROHIBITS the issuance of fire permits and the discharge of fireworks; and
- RESCINDS all previously approved fire permits and fireworks discharge permits; and
- ALLOWS safe fires in burning barrels provided they are equipped with metal mesh screens, located on a non-combustible surface; and
- ALLOWS fire pits contained with non-combustible material, as well as charcoal briquette barbecues, propane/gas barbecue, and propane/gas fire pits.
All types must be supervised and extinguished before leaving unattended.
This restriction will remain until further notice and may escalate into a Fire Ban with little notice.
